Emil Kothari has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Emil started their career in 2002 as a Wireline Engineer at Precision Drilling. In 2004, they joined Fairborne Energy Ltd. as a Sr. Area Engineer, where they managed production operations and contributed to the development of a commercially viable well exploitation strategy. In 2011, they moved to ARC Resources Ltd., initially working as a Sr. Exploitation Engineer, leading a multidisciplinary team and conducting economic evaluations for upstream development opportunities. Emil later served as the Manager of Joint Venture, responsible for non-operated assets and corporate contracts, and as the Manager of Business Development, leading divestiture and acquisition activities. In 2017, they became the Senior Advisor for Market Development, focusing on commercial development opportunities. Currently, Emil is working at Strathcona Resources Ltd. as the Manager of Business Development, Sustainability & ESG.
Emil Kothari attended the University of Calgary from 1996 to 2002, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. In addition, they completed two online certificate programs from Harvard Business School. In 2019, they obtained a Certificate in Leading With Finance, and in an unspecified year before 2020, they completed a Certificate in Negotiation Mastery.
