Troy Walker, P.Eng.

Troy Walker, P.Eng. is a Senior Production Engineer currently working at Strathcona Resources Ltd. Troy joined the company in June 2021.

Prior to this role, Troy worked at Osum Oil Sands Corp from August 2015 to June 2021 as a Production Engineer. Their responsibilities included optimizing and managing well pairs, designing and selecting artificial lift equipment, and forecasting production. Troy also collaborated with the facilities engineering team for scope and execution of MOCs.

From January 2014 to March 2015, Troy worked as a Production Engineer at Laricina Energy Ltd. Troy then transitioned into the role of Field Operations Engineer from May 2013 to December 2013, providing engineering support to the Saleski and Germain operations teams. Additionally, from September 2011 to May 2013, they served as a Completions Engineer, focusing on source water/disposal well development and well completion design.

Before Laricina Energy Ltd, Troy worked at Husky Energy from December 2006 to September 2011. Troy held the positions of Development Engineer, Production Engineer, and Completions Engineer during their tenure. In these roles, they formulated and executed development plans, optimized well and facility applications, and planned and executed completion programs.

Prior to joining Husky Energy, Troy worked at Weatherford as an Open Hole Logging Field Engineer from September 2003 to March 2006.

Troy Walker, P.Eng., completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Alberta, from 1998 to 2003.
