Andres Sandoval

Andres Sandoval is a highly experienced aerospace engineer specializing in guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) systems. Currently serving as Staff GNC Engineer and VMS IPT Lead for the Hypersonic Program at Stratolaunch since June 2021, Andres focuses on the development of autoland systems and modeling of hypersonic vehicles. Previous roles include Stability and Control Engineer for the AS2 supersonic business jet at Aerion Supersonic, where responsibilities encompassed stability and control analyses, simulator development, and wind tunnel testing. Additionally, experience as an Aerodynamics Engineer at Boom Supersonic involved work on the XB-1 demonstrator vehicle, concentrating on performance and flying qualities analysis. Early in the career, an internship at Textron Systems provided foundational experience in systems engineering. Andres holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, completed in 2018.
