Steven Hunt

Steven Hunt is a Principal Propulsion Analyst at Stratolaunch since August 2022, with a solid background in propulsion engineering and analysis. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Propulsion Analyst at ABL Space Systems, where significant contributions involved creating rocket engine power balance models and developing data visualization tools. Steven previously worked at Virgin Orbit as a Senior Propulsion Engineer, focusing on thermo-fluid analyses and serving as propulsion console operator for rocket launches. Additionally, Steven conducted fluid dynamics analyses at The Aerospace Corporation and held various academic and engineering positions, including postdoctoral research at Purdue University and work as a Powertrain Design Engineer at Chrysler. Steven earned a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Purdue University and holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from NYU Tandon School of Engineering, along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA.
