Helge Opgård

Helge Opgård has over 30 years of work experience in various roles related to software development and engineering. Helge is currently employed as a Software Development Specialist at Stratum Reservoir since May 2020.

Prior to that, Helge worked at Emerson Automation Solutions for 14 years from October 2006 to April 2020, where they held the position of Technical Product Manager Fieldwatch.

Before joining Emerson Automation Solutions, Helge worked at Roxar Flow Measurement AS as a Senior Software Engineer from 2003 to 2006. Helge also served as a Senior Software Engineer at Hitec ASA from 1998 to 2003.

In addition, Helge has entrepreneurial experience as the owner of Prosys AS, a company they started while studying at the university. At Prosys AS, they developed software and electronics for the oil and gas industry and dealt with control systems for ROV's and other subsea tools. Helge was involved in the management, marketing, and software development aspects of the company from 1990 to 1997.

From 1990 to 1994, Helge Opgård attended Stavanger University Center. During this period, they focused on Cybernetics and Computer Science, although no specific degree was mentioned.
