Chessie Zimmerman

Chessie Zimmerman has extensive experience in urban planning and community development, currently serving in a commercial development role at Stratus Properties Inc. since January 2017. Prior to this, Chessie held the position of Assistant City Manager for the City of Lakeway, TX, from May 2006 to December 2016, and served as City Manager in Sulphur, Oklahoma, from July 2002 to April 2006. Additionally, Chessie worked as the Principal Community Development Planner at GrantWorks, Inc. from January 2000 to June 2002, and had various roles in the Army National Guard from June 1990 to May 1998. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from George Mason University.
