Christopher Karatzinis

Christopher Karatzinis has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Christopher founded Stratus5 in 2008 and served as the Founder and CTO, launching the world's first open-source as a service (OSaaS) cloud computing platform. Christopher secured over $6 million in funding for Stratus5, which is now used by leading open-source software vendors. Christopher also opened offices in Dublin, Ireland, and Silicon Valley, California.

In 2018, Christopher became a member of the Irish Blockchain Expert Group, contributing their expertise in blockchain technology. Christopher joined iM8 World Protect & Connect as the Chief Technology Officer in September 2018. iM8 World is a blockchain-based app ecosystem that enables brands and manufacturers to protect their products and connect with customers. iM8 World acquired the assets of checkitsreal in October 2018.

In addition, Christopher co-founded viepal in October 2019, where they served as the Co-Founder and CTO until November 2021. Christopher also worked as a Blockchain ICO Consultant/Advisor for Blockchain Ventureon from March 2018 to October 2019. During this time, they contributed to the development of a fast blockchain, anti-theft protection, and mining technology.

Before their ventures in the blockchain industry, Christopher founded SAASENT Technologies in 2006, focusing on assisting companies in harnessing SaaS and Cloud Computing technologies for a competitive advantage. Prior to SAASENT, they founded Compisol Limited in 2000, an IT services company specializing in bespoke ecommerce solutions for the financial services market. Christopher successfully grew Compisol's annual turnover and managed significant clients like Deutsche Bank, Allied Irish Banks, and Citco Group.

Christopher Karatzinis completed their education in a chronological order. From 1990 to 1996, they attended the University of the Aegean, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, specializing in Mathematics and Computer Science. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science with a focus on Computer Security at University College Dublin from 1997 to 1998.
