Dmitry Lesnik

Co-founder and Chief Data Scientist at Stratyfy

Dmitry Lesnik has a varied work experience, beginning with a Postdoctoral Research Associate position at the University of Düsseldorf in 2002. In 2004, they held a Physicist Engineer position at Philips APM, Germany. From 2006 to 2014, they were a Senior Quantitative Analyst at RWE Supply & Trading GmbH, developing pricing and hedging models for Swing and Storage contracts. Dmitry then moved to Gazprom Marketing & Trading in 2014, where they were a Senior Quantitative Analyst developing and putting in production algorithms for pricing and hedging structured products. In 2015, they joined Centrica as a Senior Quantitative Analyst, developing analytic foundation and implementation of jump-diffusion price processes in commodity markets. Most recently, they have been a Co-founder and Chief Data Scientist at Stratyfy since 2017.

Dmitry Lesnik obtained their M.Sc. in Physics and Applied Math from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University) (MIPT) between 1991 and 1997. Dmitry then went on to earn their Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics and Stochastic Processes in Plasma from the University of Düsseldorf between 1998 and 2002. In 2016, they received a Machine Learning certification from Coursera Course Certificates.
