Vice President, Sustainability & Strategic Impact at Straus Family Creamery

Joseph Button has a diverse work experience, starting in 2005 as a Research Assistant at the World Security Institute. Joseph conducted research and published articles on terrorism and development issues in Afghanistan. In 2006, they worked as a Program Assistant at CNFA and a Program Associate at World Vision. In 2009, Joseph became a Business Consultant at The GLOBE Center. In 2011, they joined the Association of Monterey Bay Area Governments as an Assistant Special Projects Manager. Joseph's most recent experience includes working at Straus Family Creamery, where they started as a Director of Sustainability in 2016, and was later promoted to Vice President, Sustainability & Strategic Impact. At Straus, they played a key role in advancing sustainability initiatives, creating positive environmental, social, and economic impacts throughout the business and supply chain.

Joseph Button completed their education in a chronological order. Joseph attended the University of Washington from 2001 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies with a focus on Foreign Policy and Diplomacy. Joseph then pursued further education at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey from 2008 to 2010, where they obtained an MBA with a concentration in International Management. Following this, in 2010, Joseph pursued a Master of Arts in International Environmental Policy with a specialization in Business and Sustainability at the same institution.
