Michelle Chang

Michelle Chang is an accomplished professional currently serving as the Senior Director of Product and Head of Trust & Safety at Strava, where leadership encompasses platform standards, trust, and safety. Simultaneously, Michelle serves as an AI Program Advisor for the 2024-25 UC program at CITRIS and the Banatao Institute. Previously, Michelle held significant roles at Google, including Global Head of Search, AI, and Commerce Policy and Strategy, and Global Head of Search Policy, successfully leading teams to establish responsible product policies across multiple regions. Early career experience includes senior management and governance roles at The Asia Foundation and policy development for social welfare at the International Policy Centre for Inclusive Growth. Michelle Chang earned a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and an M.P.P. in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley.
