Straw Hat Pizza
Opening its doors for the first time in San Leandro, California, Straw Hat Pizza began serving its trailblazing “Genuine California Pizza” on July 10, 1959. It was an unrivaled pizza with a layered, flaky crust, the freshest toppings, light sauce, and six kinds of naturally aged cheese. In the 1970’s each establishment featured old-time movies, free Charlie Horse rides for kids, and often showcased local banjo bands. Today, we still create “Fun for all” in our restaurants as a place to go for parties, school fundraisers, and sports. As of January, 2022 Straw Hat Pizza has 29 locations in California.
