Yun Wang

Yun Wang is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in backend and full-stack development. Currently serving as a Staff Backend Engineer at Stream since November 2025, Yun previously held the position of Lead Software Engineer at NextBillion.ai from May 2020 to November 2025, contributing significantly to the development of the initial product as one of the first employees. Prior experience includes a role as Software Engineering Manager at Grab, where Yun led the design of innovative tools such as real-time visualization and GrabView, winning the IEEE BigMM 2019 Best Demo Award, and developing Grab Maps. Earlier experience at Grab also included a role as a Fullstack Software Engineer. Yun's career began at Geekniu, where significant projects included architecting a BaaS solution and developing a live streaming platform. Yun holds a Master's degree in Aesthetics from Beijing International Studies University, completed in 2015.
