From 2018-2020, they worked at Hitachi Vantara as Delivery Head and Senior Cloud Architect, and at REAN Cloud as a Senior Cloud Architect. From 2016-2018, they were employed at Apps Associates as a Senior Technical Architect, where they were responsible for architecting, designing, and developing Cloud Native applications for AWS and Azure, modernizing applications to enhance maintainability, performance, high availability, and elasticity, and adopting DevOps principles using OSS Tools to automate CICD, Infra Provisioning, Config Management and Monitoring. From 2014-2016, they worked at ARC Document Solutions as a Technical Architect, where they were responsible for architecting and modernizing ASP. NET based SaaS solutions on Amazon Cloud for Construction Document & Information Management, Managed Print Services, and Archival Information Management, as well as driving initiatives for process improvement, knowledge management, and knowledge enhancement. From 2009-2014, they were employed at Wipro Technologies as a Senior Specialist, where their responsibilities included architecting, designing products & solutions for Naval Engineering, Banking & Financial Services, Consumer Electronics, Health Care & Life Sciences domain, and providing technical guidance during the Pre-sales process. In 2008, they were employed at Nomura Research Institute as an International Equity Derivatives Tech. Support. From 2007-2008, they worked at Axsys Technologies Limited, Calcutta, India as Manager (Software Delivery), and at Vision Comptech as a Senior Software Consultant. In 2006, they were employed at Anshinsoft as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were deputed in Nomura International at London, Tokyo & Hong Kong, as International Equity Derivatives Support Engineer, and was involved in software development projects.

Atanu Banik completed a Master of Science in Information Technology from Sikkim Manipal University, a Bachelor of Computer Application in Information Technology from Sikkim Manipal University, and a Diploma in Civil Engineering from Jalpaiguri Polytechnic Institute between 1989 and 1992.
