Andy Quay

Andy Quay has a significant amount of experience in the field of software engineering and technology development. Their most recent role was as a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Street Smarts VR since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked at By Light Professional IT Services for 15 years, also as a Senior Staff Software Engineer, focusing on virtual reality training solutions for the Army. Before that, Andy worked at the University of Florida's Digital Worlds Institute for 6 years as an Associate Director for Research and Technology, where they were responsible for managing staff, leading projects, and teaching multimedia authoring and technology. Andy also worked at the Georgia Institute of Technology's Interactive Media Technology Center for 12 years as a Co-Director and Research Scientist, where they provided technical leadership, managed staff and projects, and taught multimedia authoring and technology. Overall, Andy has extensive experience in software engineering, leadership, project management, and teaching.
