Rob Cann has a diverse work experience in the sports and social work field. Rob is the Co-Founder/ Managing Director of Street Soccer USA since December 2009. Additionally, they served as the 'I PLAY FOR SF' Managing Director, where they organized adult recreational soccer leagues in San Francisco. Rob also worked as an intern in BRC Group's Sport Management Masters Program in 2011. Prior to this, they were the Street Soccer 945 Director at Urban Ministry Center from 2006 to 2009.

Rob Cann has a strong educational background. Rob began their education at St. Christopher's School, where they attended from 1988 to 2001. After completing their high school education, Rob went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English at East Carolina University, which they successfully obtained in 2005. Rob then furthered their studies at the University of San Francisco, earning a Master of Science (MS) degree in Sport Management from 2010 to 2012. Continuing their educational journey, Rob recently completed the Executive Program for Non-Profit Leadership (EPNL) at Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2016.

Street Soccer USA

At Street Soccer USA we believe everyone deserves to grow and develop within the supportive context of a team. Our mission is to fight poverty and strengthen communities through soccer. Through team sports we develop self determined problem solvers, team players and community leaders and surround them with the support and opportunities necessary to achieve their goals in life. Street Soccer USA's growth-mindset, play-based curriculum reaches over 15,000 kids, teens, and adults in low-income neighborhoods in 14 cities across the United States. Our Street Soccer Skills (Show Up, Play with Heart, Look Up, Take the Space, Build Your Triangle,Praise Great Play, Play the Plan, Adjust the Plan) progress two skills at time from fundamental, to individual, to team, to strategic lessons that translate the learnings of sports to real life. We work at the community level, partnering with schools, districts, local elected officials, after school programs, faith-based organizations, homeless service agencies, recovery centers and other community groups to develop and deliver programs directly, or provide a mix of services including professional training and technical assistance. Street Soccer USA's enterprise arm is a leader in development of facilities and events with social outcome purposes - The Street Soccer USA Cup Series is a globally recognized 4v4 event hosted annually in Times Square NYC, Union Square San Francisco, Philadelphia Museum of Art and LA Live Los Angeles.
