Peter Friberg

Peter Friberg has a diverse work experience spanning over 30 years. Peter began their career in 1988 as a Captain in the Swedish Armed Forces, where they served as a technical officer and gained experience in leadership and tactics.

In 2001, Peter joined Capgemini as a Consultant, where they worked on system development, project management, and configuration management. Peter also served as a member of the management team and was responsible for staff welfare. Notably, they established CM processes and managed project CM in the Vodafone Live project during their time at Capgemini.

Following their tenure at Capgemini, Peter worked at Boss Media AB as a Lead Configuration Manager. Peter was responsible for CM-related processes and introduced Continuous Integration in some departments. Later, they joined Sörman Information AB as a Project Manager and simultaneously managed multiple customer accounts. Peter also led a major customer project, including requirement management and system design.

In 2009, Peter joined Entraction Solutions AB as a Senior Configuration Manager. Peter laid the foundation for a new build system and introduced Continuous Integration with build metrics and code coverage. Peter also defined a new release process.

Peter then transitioned to GTECH S.p.A. (Boss Media), where they served as a Process Manager. Peter was responsible for core processes within the technology organization and introduced brand new tool support for customer service and customer delivery projects.

Next, Peter worked at HCL Technologies as a Process Manager. Peter managed and administered tools and processes within the technology organization, utilizing tools such as JIRA, Subversion, and Confluence.

Most recently, Peter is employed at Stretch as an Atlassian Expert/Consultant. As an Atlassian Platinum Solution Partner, they provide consulting services related to Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence. Stretch recently opened a new branch office in Växjö.

Peter Friberg attended Blekinge Institute of Technology from 1998 to 2001, where they obtained a Bachelor of Computer Science degree. In 1998, they also studied at Marinens Krigshögskola, where they received the rank of Captain. In terms of additional certifications, Peter obtained various certifications such as Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org in September 2014, ITIL v3 Foundation from DF Certifiering AB in June 2010, and ITIL 4 Foundation from PeopleCert in March 2023. Peter also earned several Atlassian Skills Badges, including "Configuring and Troubleshooting Permissions in Jira" in January 2021, "Advanced Jira Workflows Badge" in February 2019, "Atlassian Certified in Agile Development with Jira Software" in November 2017, and "Atlassian Certified JIRA Administrator" in August 2017.
