Michael brings more than 20 years of substantive industry expertise to his role as Managing Director. As a former corporate-restructuring partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle, LLP, he advised debtors, creditors, official committees, distressed-assets purchasers and boards of directors in all facets of the bankruptcy and restructuring process, both in and out of court. Michael has worked on numerous high-profile engagements including, NRG Energy, Solutia, Tronox and Hawker Beechcraft. Prior to joining Stretto, he co-founded the market’s leading firm specializing in analyzing, pursuing and defending preference actions. Leveraging a wide breadth of corporate-restructuring and case-management knowledge, Michael helps clients navigate all phases of the bankruptcy process and has an additional focus on assisting clients in understanding the value of their preference-action portfolio and in maximizing recoveries. He is a well-known and respected member of the national restructuring community and an active member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, Turnaround Management Association and the New York Institute of Credit.
