Maria Schettino

Maria Schettino has a diverse work experience in the software development field. Maria most recently worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Zillow Group since May 2018. Prior to that, they worked at Stride Consulting as a Software Developer, where they collaborated with client tech teams to develop software and improve processes using Agile and XP methodologies. Maria also built a content management system with complete test coverage for an editorial team and revamped a consumer-facing website using React, Redux, PostgresSQL, and Node.

Maria has also worked as a Freelance Web Developer, where they built marketing sites, coded responsive emails, and enhanced existing sites for various clients. Additionally, Maria has experience in teaching and instructional roles. Maria worked as a Web Development Immersive Instructor at General Assembly, where they designed applications as learning experiences, created lesson plans, and led a team of instructors to develop a web development curriculum. Maria also worked as a Teaching Assistant, assisting students with their homework and projects, and helping them build full-stack web applications using various technologies such as Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, PostgresSQL, and JQuery.

Maria Schettino has a diverse education history in various fields. In 2014, they attended General Assembly for a brief period, where they pursued a program in Web Development Immersive. Prior to this, Maria attended Ithaca College and completed coursework in Film/Video and Photographic Arts. Maria later enrolled at New York University, where they achieved a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Technology. Additionally, Maria has studied Graphic Design at the School of Visual Arts.
