Melanie Byrne has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Melanie started their career in 2011 as a Tier 1 Support at Nurse-Family Partnership, providing front line support to nurses, supervisors, and administrators. Later, they worked as a Business Systems Support Analyst at the same organization, where they acted as a subject matter expert for the Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) software and performed database administration duties.
In 2015, Melanie joined UCHealth as an Epic Systems Intern, providing support to the Epic Support and Training teams. Melanie also worked as an Epic Implementation Specialist and a Systems Analyst - Epic Ambulatory, where they played an on-site resource role for multiple implementations and provided training and troubleshooting support.
In 2017, Melanie joined Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine as a Health IT Manager, overseeing clinical applications and managing EMR systems.
Most recently, they worked at STRIDE Community Health Center as a Director of Business Intelligence, where they were responsible for overseeing the business intelligence function and leading the team. Prior to this role, they held positions as a Manager - EHR Systems and an EHR Project Manager at the same organization.
Throughout their career, Melanie has gained expertise in system implementations, support and training, database administration, and report development.
Melanie Byrne completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Sociology from Arizona State University in the years 2008 to 2010. Melanie further pursued their education and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Medical and Health Care Information Technology from the University of Denver between the years 2014 and 2018. In addition to their academic qualifications, Melanie also holds various certifications from Epic, including Caboodle Data Model, Clarity Data Model, Cogito Certified, EpicCare Ambulatory Certified, Healthy Planet Analytics and Clinical Build Certified, and Wisdom Certified. The exact dates of when they obtained these certifications are not provided.
STRIDE Community Health Center
STRIDE Community Health Center, formerly known as Metro Community Provider Network (MCPN), is a 501(c)(3) Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with a 30-year history of providing primary care and other health-related services in a community-based setting. Established in 1989 in response to the primary health care needs of the medically indigent population in suburban Denver, STRIDE now has one of the largest population base of any FQHC in Colorado. STRIDE addresses the need for affordable and accessible medical, behavioral health, and dental care among low-income, uninsured, and underserved populations residing outside the city and county of Denver. STRIDE’s current service area encompasses Adams, Arapahoe, Douglas, Jefferson, and Park counties and the Cities of Aurora, Arvada, Edgewater, Englewood, Lakewood, Littleton, Parker, and Wheat Ridge in the state of Colorado. From a single clinic in 1989, STRIDE has grown into a large, integrated health care delivery system with nearly 20 health center locations providing primary medical care, dental care, behavioral health, and wrap around services, including three School Based Health Centers (SBHCs) and a mobile dental van.
