Hugo Salinas

Hugo Salinas has several years of work experience in software engineering roles. Hugo is currently the Director of Software Engineering at Strider Technologies. Prior to this, they worked at Comscore, Inc. as the Director of Software Engineering from April 2010 to June 2022. At Comscore, they formed a backend development team and led the design of applications capable of efficiently processing billions of rows using technologies like Hadoop Map/Reduce (MR), Pig, and Spark.

Before their role at Comscore, Hugo was a Team Lead at Certifica.com from October 2008 to March 2010. Hugo developed various reports for the analytics platform and improved processes for data acquisition, log distribution, and processing.

Hugo also worked as a Team Lead at JM Software from July 2006 to September 2008. Hugo was involved in the entire software development process, including selling projects to clients, defining requirements, implementation, testing, support, and operations. Hugo developed a web platform for project management and billing at Dulox, an steel company, and a remote sales system for mobiles at Viña Miguel Torres, which interacted with the ERP.

At the beginning of their career, Hugo worked as a Software Engineer at Corporacion Linux from July 2005 to June 2006. Hugo participated in the development of the backend core for the Valparaíso Stock Exchange, using technologies like JSE and JEE, and ensuring compatibility with the legacy system of the stock exchange.

Hugo Salinas attended Universidad Diego Portales from 2000 to 2006, where they earned a degree in Ingeniero and specialized in Civil en Informatica.
