Aswin Teja Yamuzala

Aswin Teja Yamuzala has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Aswin Teja began their career as a Project Assistant at the University of New Mexico, where they developed online portals and managed servers. Aswin Teja later became a Research Fellow, working on various LAMP-based applications.

Following their time at the University, Aswin joined Kiva.org as a Software Engineer, where they optimized and developed features for the main website. Aswin Teja worked on the full web stack, utilizing PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript.

Aswin's next role was at Striim, where they started as a Senior Software Engineer. Aswin Teja played a key role in developing, improving, and debugging the Web UI Software and worked on standardizing API layers. Aswin also led efforts to migrate on-premise systems to AWS and mentored new team members.

At Striim, Aswin progressed into various management positions. Aswin Teja served as a UI Development Manager, overseeing the UI Engineering and User Experience teams, architecting upcoming features, and ensuring on-time delivery. Aswin Teja then became a Senior Engineering Manager, leading the UI Team across multiple continents and delivering multiple projects. Aswin also led design overhaul efforts to unify the design system.

Currently, Aswin holds the role of Director of Engineering at Striim, where they continue to contribute their expertise in managing teams and leading project deliveries.

Aswin Teja Yamuzala completed their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University from 2004 to 2008. Aswin Teja then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Engineering at The University of New Mexico from 2008 to 2010. Recently, in 2023 and 2024, they attended the Indian School of Business and earned an Executive MBA - PGPpro in Business Administration and Management.
