Pawel Duda has over 13 years of work experience. In 2007, they completed an internship at Sumitomo Electric Wiring Systems - Polska Sp. z o.o. where they converted an existing MS Access based cost-cutting solution into web-based. In 2008, they worked as a Software Internationalisation and Localisation Specialist at Siemens Sp. z o.o. / Gigaset Communications. From 2013-2015, they worked as a Web Developer at IPC Media / Time Inc. where they provided a scalable backend solution in the area of login and registration, marketing tools, web components in Symfony 1.4 and 2.x for a range of desktop/mobile sites. From 2015-2017, they worked as a Senior Backend PHP / API Developer (Contract) at Young / Skilled. In 2017, they worked as a Senior PHP Developer (Contract) at Grupa Unity (Unity S.A.) where they co-authored a system that supported logistics in a Chinese branch of their client. From 2018-2019, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Motion Picture Solutions. In 2019, they worked on their own project, Full-Stack + DevOp, running their own server on Ubuntu + PHP 7.2, Symfony 4.4. Lastly, from 2020-2022, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Busuu where they completed a few payments projects introducing a free trial option using Stripe, co-authored the solution with the front-end team, communicated the progress to product staff and stakeholders. Pawel is currently working as a Senior Software Developer at Strike.
Pawel Duda received a Master's in Computer Engineering (in English) from Wrocław University of Technology between 2009 and 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Information Technology and Management "Copernicus" between 2005 and 2009. Pawel also holds a Certificate in Advanced English from the University of Cambridge, obtained in July 2008. Additionally, they have several certifications from Gigaset Communications, including "Time management" (June 2009), "Communication and basics of negotiations" (May 2009), and "Communication as an art of understanding each other" (February 2009).
