Alanna Y.

Alanna Y. is an experienced GIS Specialist with a strong background in geospatial technology and project management. Currently at Stripe since 2021 as the Sales Tax Jurisdiction Lead, Alanna utilizes ArcGIS Pro for delineating taxing jurisdiction boundaries and manages large datasets using Excel and Python. Prior experience includes working as a Tax Geography Engineer at TaxJar, contributing significantly to product development leading to Stripe's acquisition. Alanna has also held roles such as Sales Tax Research Analyst, Logistics Assistant, Lecturer at Western Washington University, Data Analyst at InfoGraphics Lab, Geography Instructor at the University of Oregon, and Office Manager at San Francisco State University. Alanna holds a BA in History, International Relations, and Sociology from the University of California, Davis, and an MS in Physical Geography from the University of Oregon.
