Jelani Burton

Jelani Burton has a diverse work experience that includes roles in SEO and marketing. Jelani is currently working as an SEO Lead at Stripe since November 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Intuit from 2015 to 2021, starting as an Associate SEO Marketing Manager and progressing to Sr. SEO Marketing Manager. At Intuit, Jelani was responsible for driving organic search traffic and revenue through site optimization, keyword research, and content creation. Jelani also worked at Piston Agency as an SEO Strategist in 2015 and at LTD Online Stores as an SEO Specialist from 2013 to 2014. Jelani's earlier experience includes roles in sales, business development, and customer service. Jelani worked as a Sales Team member at SOLO Eyewear in 2013, as a Business Development Lead at Modern Market Technologies in 2011, and as a Runningback/Special Teams player for UC Davis Football from 2007 to 2011. Additionally, Jelani gained experience in customer service as a Members Services Lead at UC Davis Activities and Recreation from 2008 to 2010. Jelani also worked as a Spanish Immersion Intern at Cesar Chavez Elementary School in 2010, where they provided teaching assistance and focused on developing student confidence in coursework.

Jelani Burton obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Community & Regional Development with a minor in Sociology from the University of California, Davis, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, they received a diploma from Mira Mesa High School in 2007. In addition to their formal education, Jelani has obtained certifications such as the BrightEdge Certified Professional and the Google Analytics IQ Certification, both earned in 2015, as well as the Google Analytics Platform Principles II certification obtained in 2014.
