Steffan Tomlinson

Steffan Tomlinson is the CFO of Stripe. He has a track record of helping companies grow, scale efficiently, and create significant shareholder and stakeholder value. As CFO, he has helped accelerate growth and profitability for every company at which he has worked, successfully completed three IPOs (Confluent, Palo Alto Networks, Aruba), managed a hyperscale business (Google Cloud), and led a strategic sale of a company (Peribit) where he was the first non-founder employee.

With +25 years of operating experience in companies that span from seed stage to Fortune 25 across the technology landscape, he has: built diverse, high performing teams and partnered with executives, CEOs, and boards; led companies through each stage of the growth curve ranging from pre revenue to >$12B; allocated capital to drive growth and profitability in all types of economic environments; raised >$3B of capital via IPOs, convertible debt offerings, and venture capital; substantial M&A experience as an operator and board member (>$15B in value, >10 transactions).

He has extensive public and private company board experience and currently serves on the board of Eventbrite. He previously served on the public company boards of Cornerstone OnDemand, Qlik, and Riverbed, all of which were ultimately acquired. He actively serves as an advisor to venture backed start up companies and entrepreneurs on a global basis.
