Steve Schreiber

Steve Schreiber has been a software engineer for over 20 years. Steve started their career at Microsoft in 2003, working on the Halo franchise. In 2011, they transitioned to MICROS Systems Inc, a leading provider of point of sale technology for the hospitality and retail industries. There, they led an engineering and product team that successfully transitioned traditional on-premise POS offerings to a public cloud based SaaS solution. In 2013, Steve joined Salesforce as Vice President of Software Engineering. Steve was responsible for all engineering of Heroku (PaaS) product and Salesforce Functions offering. This included all elastic compute and data offerings from Salesforce Platform. Steve successfully led the group through multifaceted transformation including engineering and quality process, operational support, cost to serve, and culture. As a result of their leadership, Salesforce launched successful products such as Salesforce Functions (GA’d Dreamforce 2021). In May of 2022, Steve left Salesforce to join Stripe as Head of Engineering, Platform & Ecosystem.

Steve Schreiber has a BSE in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan.
