Matt Cole

Matt Cole is an experienced finance professional with a diverse range of roles in the investment industry. Matt currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at Strive Asset Management since April 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Chief Investment Officer and Global Head of Fixed Income at the same company from February 2023 to April 2023. Before joining Strive Asset Management, Matt worked at CalPERS - Global Fixed Income for a significant portion of their career. Matt held multiple roles at CalPERS, including Investment Manager - Structured Securities and US Treasury Portfolio Manager from November 2020 to May 2022, Associate Investment Manager - Structured Securities from September 2016 to November 2020, Investment Officer - Structured Products Trading and Research from March 2011 to September 2016, and Corporate Credit Research from June 2007 to March 2011. Additionally, Matt started their career in the investment industry as a Real Estate Investments Intern at CalPERS Investment Office from January 2006 to June 2007.

Matt Cole obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance from California State University-Sacramento. Matt attended the university from 2008 to 2010. In addition, they received a certification in Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the CFA Institute in September 2015.
