Melissa Mazzo, PhD, has a diverse work experience that spans various roles in data analysis, research, journalism, coaching, and teaching. Melissa is currently a Lead Data Analyst at Strive Health and holds the position of Senior Data Analyst. Prior to this, Melissa worked as a Research Scientist in the Neurophysiology of Movement Lab at the University of Colorado Boulder. Melissa also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the university. Melissa has worked as a Freelance Journalist at Pocket Outdoor Media and as a Running Coach at Velocity Canyon Endurance Project. In addition, they gained experience as a Data Consultant at Providence Medical Technology, Inc., where they conducted literature reviews and provided data analysis for clinical trials. Melissa has also worked as a Research Assistant at the CU Integrative Physiology of Aging Laboratory and as a Sales Associate & Gait Analyst at Delaware Running Company. Melissa has teaching experience as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Delaware. Melissa Mazzo, PhD, holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Integrative Physiology, which they obtained from the University of Colorado Boulder in the years 2017-2021. Prior to their doctoral studies, they completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Integrative Physiology at the same institution from 2015 to 2017. Melissa's undergraduate education includes a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of Delaware, which they earned between 2011 and 2015. Prior to their university studies, Melissa graduated with an Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors from Webster Thomas High School in 2011.
