Robert Hughes

Rob Hughes has extensive experience in finance and administration, with a focus on the biopharmaceutical industry. Rob is currently serving as the CFO for STRM.BIO, Basking Biosciences Inc, and Ambio, Inc. Prior to this, they worked as a Fractional CFO at Right Start CFO Services, LLC. From 2019 to 2022, they held the position of Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration at StrideBio, Inc. Before that, they served as the Senior Vice President of Finance at Selenity Therapeutics from 2018 to 2019. From 2009 to 2018, they were the Vice President of Finance and Administration at Viamet Pharmaceuticals. Rob also has experience as a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at KBI BioPharma and as a Senior Manager of Accounting at HMS Host. Earlier in their career, they worked as an independent consultant specializing in Sarbanes Oxley compliance.

Rob Hughes completed their MBA from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, they pursued Accounting & Finance at the University of Maryland, concluding in 1996.
