Mira Aston

Mira Aston has extensive work experience in finance and administration roles. Mira is currently the Head of Finance at Strode College since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Finance at Somerset Skills & Learning from March 2021 to October 2022, along with being the Finance Manager from July 2019 to February 2021. Mira also served as the Finance Manager at SLX from December 2018 to June 2019. Mira started their career at Eaton as an Assistant Financial Controller from January 2013 to November 2018. Before that, they worked as a Senior Administrator at Somerset County Council from March 2006 to December 2012. Mira'searly experience includes working as a Bookkeeper at COEMI (UK) LIMITED from June 2006 to November 2011.

Mira Aston pursued their education in a chronological manner. Mira first attended Slovenská technická univerzita v Bratislave from 1992 to 1997, where they completed a Master's degree in Management of small industrial enterprises. Following that, they enrolled at The Association of Accounting Technicians from 2004 to 2006, earning an NVQ 4 - Technician degree in Accounting and Finance. Most recently, from 2018 to 2021, Mira studied at The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, obtaining a Certificate in Management Accounting in the field of Accounting and Business/Management.
