Thomas McCarthy-Howe

Thomas McCarthy-Howe has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. Thomas began their career in 1997 as a Senior Consultant for Howe Digital, where they were the technical lead for a VoIP software engineering consulting firm. In 2001, they founded Tangerine, a next generation prepaid calling card and services platform, which was sold to Versatel in 2004. Thomas then remained on staff as the CTO for Versatel, a 65-employee venture-backed VoIP equipment vendor. In 2006, they became the US CTO for the US Converged IP Communications Group at Comverse Inc. Thomas then founded The Thomas Howe Company in 2005, an asset-based professional services firm that specialized in extending business processes through real-time communications. In 2012, they became the System Architect for Harris Corporation, where they designed a fail-safe architecture for the most reliable communications network in the world. In 2014, they founded GreenBot, a middleware server for chatbots, and won the 2015 TADHack Global. In 2017, they became the CTO of Ten Digit Communications, and in 2019 they became the CTO of VHT. Most recently, in 2021, they became the CTO of STROLID, Inc, where they are responsible for engaging car buyers on behalf of dealers and leading an innovative engineering department in the communications field.

Thomas McCarthy-Howe began their education at Dennis Yarmouth Regional High School, followed by Middletown High School from 1981 to 1985. Thomas then attended the University of Massachusetts Lowell and earned a BSEE in Electrical Engineering from 1985 to 1989. After that, they pursued Graduate Study in Digital Communications at Northeastern University from 1990 to 1992.
