Elias Kouskoumvekakis began their work experience in 2003 as a Self-Employed Web Developer and System Administrator, where they designed and developed dynamic websites and managed server administration. Elias then worked at the Free and Open Source Silicon (FOSSi) Foundation in 2016 as a Google Summer of Code - FPGA Engineer, implementing RISC-V port to Parallella. From 2014 to 2016, Elias worked at the University of Athens as a Software & FPGA Engineer, Project Manager, and Researcher, focusing on the acceleration of stochastic simulations of large-scale biochemical networks. Currently, since 2017, Elias works at Stromasys as a Research and Development Engineer, specializing in emulation/virtualization software and FPGA engineering on the company's Charon products.

Elias Kouskoumvekakis is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Distributed Machine Learning & Deep Learning from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon. Elias is expected to complete their degree in 2024. Prior to this, Elias completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Microelectronics, Design of Integrated Circuits, VLSI and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications from the same university.
