Andres Mitnik

Andres Mitnik is a highly experienced professional with a background in business management, venture capital, and economic development. From 2018 to present, they have served as the CEO of Strong by Form S.p.A., a disruptive new materials startup developing a sustainable timber-based alternative for structural components. Prior to this, they were the Director Corporate Venturing at Fundación Chile from 2017 to 2018, where they managed the Venture Capital area of Fundacion Chile and led the U$10 M BHP Tailings Challenge. From 2015 to 2017, they were the Head of Programs at the Strategic Investment Fund of the Ministry of Economy of the Government of Chile. From 2013 to 2015, they were the Business Manager at Samsung C&T, Engineering & Construction Americas, where they supported the firm's entrance to the Latin American EPC contractor market. From 2011 to 2013, they were a Senior Analyst at HR&A, where they provided strategic and financial consulting for Real Estate and Local Governments. Andres also held positions at the NYU Furman Center, Bladex Asset Management (Hedge Fund), Council of the Americas, and TEPAV | Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey from 2010 to 2011. From 2002 to 2008, they were the Director and Advisor of Economic Development for the Government of Chile's Origenes Program.

Andres Mitnik began their educational journey in 1995 when they attended Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and earned an Engineering degree in Management and Environmental. In 2007, they went on to Harvard Kennedy School and earned a Masters in Economics and International Development. Andres then attended New York University from 2009 to 2011, where they earned a Master in Urban Planning, specializing in Regional Development, City Management, and Real Estate.
