Janneka P.

Janneka P. is an experienced Employment Services Coordinator at the Association for New Canadians, starting in November 2022, where responsibilities include supporting Government Assisted Refugees and Asylum Seekers in integrating into the Canadian workforce. Additionally, Janneka has served as a Career Practitioner, engaging with marginalized populations to facilitate employment transitions and skill enhancement. Current work also includes a role as a Behaviour Analyst at Strongest Families Institute and previous positions as a Child & Youth Practitioner at Key Assets Group and Hope Valley Treatment Centre, contributing to the development and implementation of programs for young people. Earlier experience as a Mental Health Specialist at Island Health involved clinical services development, complemented by work as a Behavioral Therapist at Autism Society, where individualized treatment plans were created. Janneka also has a background in human resources from Health & Community Services and holds an Associate of Arts degree in Community Support & Social Services from Memorial University and Sprott Shaw College.
