Kim Sevonty Valente

Kim Sevonty Valente has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Kim started their career at Fleet Bank where they worked as a Management Trainee, Workout Officer, and Commercial Loan Officer from 1989 to 1994. Kim then joined Conning Capital Partners as a Senior Associate from 1997 to 2001. Following this, they worked at Practical Research as a Consultant from 2001 to 2003. In 2004, they took up the role of Adjunct Business Instructor at Career Education Corp. and also worked as a Manager at Bederson & Company from 2004 to 2008. From 2008 to 2010, they were self-employed as a Consultant. Kim later joined JVS Chicago as a Manager and Business Advisor at the Illinois Small Business Development Center where they focused on program management, grant writing, data management, and community outreach. Most recently, they have been working as the Chief Financial Officer at StrongMinds since 2015.

Kim Sevonty Valente completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Providence College between 1985 and 1989. Following this, Kim pursued further education and obtained a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance from the University of Connecticut School of Business between 1994 and 1995.
