James Bernard

James Bernard is a Partner at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP, where a practice focuses on financial services and general commercial litigation, including securities and consumer class actions, audit malpractice, and representation before the New York State Attorney General’s Office. James Bernard also works on commodities and derivatives matters and defends clients in various white-collar criminal law issues. Previous experience includes serving as a Law Clerk for Hon. Alvin K. Hellerstein and Hon. Loretta A. Preska, as well as a Management Associate at MetLife, where involvement in the Management Associate Training Program led to positions in the Annuity Department.
