John Svet

John Svet, PE has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of structural engineering. John started their career as an Engineer Intern at Thornton Tomasetti in 2012, where they analyzed earthquake-damaged buildings and evaluated their structural risks. In 2013, they worked on a peer review of an international airport design as an Engineer Intern at the same company.

From 2014 to 2017, John worked at Tobolski Watkins Engineering, Inc., providing engineering services to various industries, including healthcare, nuclear power, and government. John started as an Engineer and progressed to Engineer II and Engineer III roles.

In 2015, they joined TRU Compliance as an Engineer and later became the Director of the company. TRU Compliance specializes in product certification for seismic, wind, and physical security requirements.

Since 2017, John has been working at Structural Integrity Associates, starting as a Senior Engineer and progressing to various managerial positions. Their roles include Consultant/Project Manager, Manager of Structural Solutions, and currently, Director of Critical Structures & Facilities.

Throughout their career, John Svet has demonstrated their expertise in structural engineering, project management, and product certification.

John Svet, PE holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering from Stanford University, which they obtained from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Structural Engineering from UC San Diego during the period from 2008 to 2012. Additionally, John has obtained multiple Professional Engineer (PE) certifications from various institutions including the Mississippi Board of Licensure for PEPLS, the Florida Board of Professional Engineers, the State of Utah, the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies, and the State of California.
