Ed Boal

Ed Boal serves as General Counsel and Legal Domain Expert at StructureFlow, a leader in data visualization and diagramming for business professionals, since August 2025. Prior to this role, Ed was the Head of Legal and Data Protection Officer at Shieldpay, where the focus was on managing legal risk and supporting business success from April 2023 to August 2025. Ed has extensive experience in corporate law, having led the Corporate team at Stephenson Law from May 2019 to April 2023, with responsibilities that included advising on investment rounds, employee share schemes, and corporate governance. Ed's background also includes a significant tenure at Renishaw, where advisory work on commercial technology and data protection matters took place, and at Gregg Latchams, leading the Digital Media & Technology department. Ed’s formal education includes a LLB (Hons) from Northumbria University and various certifications in law and contract drafting.
