Elizabeth Nicole "Nikki" Montoya has a strong background in structural engineering with experience in various roles and responsibilities. Elizabeth Nicole started their career as a Structural EIT at R-Mac Engineering in 2005, where they designed structural layouts for residential and commercial projects, conducted on-site inspections, and coordinated solutions with clients. Elizabeth Nicole then worked at PBK Architects from 2009 to 2011 as a Structural EIT/Project Manager, focusing on the design of educational facilities and handling construction administration. Nikki then joined RAYMOND L. GOODSON JR., INC. in 2011 as a Structural EIT, where they designed structural elements for various building types and oversaw the construction administration process. Currently, they are working at Structures as a Project Engineer, with a previous role as Commercial Project Director. Overall, Nikki has gained extensive experience in structural engineering design and construction administration.

Following high school, Nikki attended The University of Texas at Austin from 1998 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering.
Later, in 2012 to 2013, Nikki enrolled in Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd, where they pursued a Master's of Science degree in Structural Engineering.
In December 2011, Nikki obtained the certification of Professional Engineer from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers.
