Amine Ourabah has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Amine is currently working at STRYDE as the Chief Geophysicist, where they lead and supports a team of seismic processing experts to expand the data processing business and deliver exceptional services to clients. In addition, they are responsible for integrating data processing into the Stryde acquisition system and expanding services towards integrated offers.
Prior to their current role, Amine worked at STRYDE as the Head of Processing, starting in 2020. During this time, they built the processing branch of the company to meet client demands for faster and more affordable processing. Amine started as a one-person team with limited computing power and successfully built a processing portfolio. Amine also assessed market demand for specific processing services, selected the best toolkit, and negotiated unique deals to increase the company's computer power.
Before joining STRYDE, Amine worked at BP as a Senior Geophysicist from 2019 to 2020, providing advanced geophysics input into development plans and ensuring compliance with BP's reporting policies and guidelines. Amine also identified and led R&D projects aligned with business requirements and provided geoscience support for key business decisions.
Earlier in their career, Amine worked at CGGVeritas, where they held the positions of Senior Geophysicist and Processing Geophysicist. Amine also worked as a Seismologist at EOST/SOULTZ in France and as a Land Surveyor at CADASTRE in France.
Amine's work experience also includes a role as a Computer Programming Professor at the Institut Superieur Maritime in Algeria and as a Geophysicist at DIALOG (Hydrogeological Company).
Amine Ourabah began their education in 1996 at BLIDA University, where they pursued a TCT degree in Preparation for Engineering studies until 1998. Amine then attended the National Institute of Hydrocarbons and Chemistry from 1998 to 2001, earning an Engineer degree in Geophysics. Following this, they enrolled at the Ecole et Observatoire des Sciences de la Terre - Louis Pasteur University from 2003 to 2004, completing a Master of Science (MS) in Geophysics. Amine continued their academic journey at the Ecole et Observatoire des Sciences de la Terre - EOST in 2004, where they became a PhD candidate specializing in Geophysics and Seismology until 2005.
In addition to their formal education, Amine Ourabah has obtained various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. These certifications include "Computers, Waves, Simulations: A Practical Introduction to Numerical Methods using Python" from Coursera in March 2021, "Leadership Through Design Innovation" from Coursera in August 2018, "Offshore Medical Certificate" from BP in September 2017, "Minimum Industry Safety Training" from OPITO in February 2013, "UK Basic Offshore Safety Industry & Emergency Training" from OPITO in February 2013, and "Supplementary Module to UK BOSIET" from OPITO in February 2013.
