Emma Paterson

Emma Paterson has a diverse work experience in finance and project management. Emma currently holds the position of Head of FP&A at Student Beans. Prior to that, they worked as a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager at the same company. Emma also worked as a Senior Finance Analyst at Cancer Research UK (CRUK) and held the role of Group Financial Planning Analyst and Finance Analyst (Research & Innovation) at CRUK as well. Emma has also worked at SDL plc as a Central Accounting Manager, where they led a project to restructure and streamline the processes within the Record to Report (R2R) function. In addition, Emma has experience in financial reporting and customer service, having worked as a Financial Reporting Analyst and Financial Analyst at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, and as a Customer Service Executive for the same company. Emma has demonstrated strong leadership skills and the ability to drive process improvements in their roles.

Emma Paterson's education history begins with their attendance at Beaconsfield Secondary School from 2002 to 2009. Emma then went on to pursue a degree in History with Heritage at Bath Spa University, studying from 2009 to 2012. Following their undergraduate studies, Emma obtained a Diploma in Management Accounting from CIMA in December 2016, and a Certificate in Business Accounting from the same institution in January 2016.

In 2022, Emma attended Mindspace Foundation to complete a Foundation Certificate in Counselling.
