Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP)
Gina Giorgio is an experienced professional in the fields of psychedelics and drug policy advocacy, currently serving as an Advisory Board Member for the National Psychedelics Association and as the Director of Strategy and Development for Students for Sensible Drug Policy. As the Founder of the NC Psychedelic Policy Coalition, Gina is actively involved in promoting bipartisan research initiatives such as HB727 in North Carolina. Gina also founded and serves as CEO of smush, a lifestyle brand focused on customizable mushroom terrariums. Past roles include contributions in cannabis policy and as a writer for Psychedelic Spotlight, as well as various positions at the Wake Forest School of Medicine. Gina holds a Master of Arts in Communication from Wake Forest University and a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Psychology from High Point University.

Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP) is the largest global youth-led network dedicated to ending the War on Drugs. At its heart, SSDP is a grassroots organization, led by a Board of Directors primarily elected by and from our student and youth members. We bring young people of all political and ideological orientations together to have honest conversations about drugs and drug policy. We create change by providing a platform where members collaborate, communicate, share resources with, and coach each other to generate policy change, deliver honest drug education, and promote harm reduction.
