William Mock

Director Of Social Enterprise And Partnerships at Students Rising Above

William Mock has diverse work experience in the education industry. William started their career at AIC Education as a Chief Academic Officer, where they played a crucial role in scaling the company and expanding its operations across China. Later, William worked as a Kindergarten Teacher at KIPP DC to gain insights into early education. William then co-founded iDistinguish Consulting, focusing on student recruitment and curriculum development for Asian school networks. At Springboard, William served as a Mentor Operations Manager, contributing to the growth of mentor-guided courses and helping plan the future of education. Most recently, they joined Students Rising Above as the Director of Social Enterprise and Partnerships. Additionally, William co-founded Pillar Learning as the Head of Education and Content, where they successfully launched Codi, an early education robot, and developed a cloud content platform.

William Mock has a diverse education history. William pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in East Asian Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics at the University of California, Berkeley from 2006 to 2009. Following this, they attended Peking University in 2009 and 2010, where they focused on Chinese Language studies. Later, in 2018 to 2019, William enrolled at Stanford University Graduate School of Education, where they earned a Master of Arts degree in International and Comparative Education with a GPA of 3.9. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification in Mental Health First Aid from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing in March 2023.
