Utsav Jain

Studio Mango is an architecture and design practice based in Shoreditch, London. The practice was formed in 2022 between Utsav Jain and Fergus Davis, two friends and former colleagues. While visiting Delhi, a mutual friend was presented with two fresh mangoes by Utsav and his family. That same friend returned the favour by commissioning the practice’s first project. Beyond reminding us of where we started, our name is reflective of two important factors. It enables creative fluidity and collaboration beyond the realms of just pure architecture. It also champions the sense of enjoyment we place at the heart of what we do. Based in our Shoreditch office, we work on projects of all scales in a variety of locations. We love getting involved with contemporary houses in London and across the UK, while we also have some exciting, larger scale schemes under way in China and India. Our experience and passion for creating beautiful contemporary architecture remains, irrelevant of scale or location. We aspire to give meaning to everything we do through thoughtful and considered design, whatever the scale. At the very core of our work is quality of space, celebration of light and a deep appreciation of materiality. Every project is informed by its unique context, whether that be something specific within a client’s brief, a historical detail or the cultural influences on a site.
