Mary Miltimore, AICP has extensive work experience in various roles and industries.

From 2023 onwards, Mary worked as a Program Manager for the SixLab Accelerator Program at Studio X. Prior to this, from 2021 to 2023, they served as a Senior Startup Portfolio Manager and Senior Advisor in Design Thinking at AARP Innovation Labs.

Before joining AARP, Mary worked as an Independent Design Consultant and Community Engagement Specialist from 2019 to 2021.

From 2013 to 2019, Mary held positions at Fitzgerald and Halliday, Inc., where they worked as a Senior Community Planner and Designer and as a Planner II.

In 2012, Mary worked as a Public Involvement and Graphics Specialist at Howard/Stein-Hudson Associates, Inc.

Prior to that, they gained experience as an Urban Planning and Design Intern at HNTB in 2011.

Mary also has experience working in nonprofit organizations, including the Food Bank for New York City, where they served as an Assistant to the VP of Marketing & Business Partnerships and the VP of Development in 2010, and the Brooklyn Economic Development Corporation, where they worked as an Economic Development Associate from 2009 to 2010.

Additionally, Mary gained marketing experience as a Marketing Associate at Corporate Executive Board from 2008 to 2009.

Mary started their career as a Public Relations Intern at Strategic Group in 2007.

Mary Miltimore, AICP has a diverse education history. Mary attended Wake Forest University from 2004 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. In 2009, Mary briefly studied Urban Planning and Architecture at Harvard University Graduate School of Design. The following years saw Mary's academic journey take their to the University of Pennsylvania, where they pursued a Master's degree in City Planning from 2010 to 2012. In 2020, Mary returned to the University of Pennsylvania to participate in the Executive Program for Social Innovation Design, focusing on Design Thinking.
