Sutton Long began their career in 2002 as a Creative Director + Editor for Study in the USA and a Graphic Designer + Art Director for Freelance Publication & Graphic Design. In 2006, they joined VegNews as an Art Director.

Sutton Long attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in English.
