Christine McDowell

Christine McDowell has extensive experience in education, currently serving as a Teacher at Sturgis Charter Public School since January 2013, focusing on IB Theory of Knowledge for high school juniors and seniors while assisting in the CAS program. Prior experience includes roles as a TEFL Technical Trainer with the Peace Corps, where Christine developed and facilitated TEFL curriculum and trained volunteers, and as a teacher at Chongqing Three Gorges University, instructing students in Oral English and Western culture. Christine holds an M.A. in International Educational Development from Teachers College, Columbia University, emphasizing peace education, along with a B.A. in Sociology and Business from Villanova University. Additional contributions include co-organizing TEDxTeachersCollege events and teaching at various institutions, showcasing a commitment to educational development and innovation.
