David Warner

David Warner, PE, has extensive experience in the rail and transportation sector, currently serving as a Senior Engineer for Rail Vehicles at STV since July 2021. Previously, David held the role of Chief Vehicle Engineering Officer at the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) from October 2014 to June 2021, where responsibilities included directing engineering activities for various rail and bus systems. Prior experience also includes serving as Program Director for Capital Acquisition at Amtrak, overseeing locomotive testing, and a Technical Supervisor for Equipment at Port Authority Transit Corporation. David's earlier roles at Amtrak involved significant engineering responsibilities for the Acela Express trainset, and military experience as a Commander in the US Navy with a focus on nuclear submarines and quality assurance. David possesses a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from Northwestern University and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School.
