Joe Olson, P.E. is a seasoned engineering professional with significant experience in the rail industry. Currently serving as the Midwest Rail Practice Leader and Rail Design Engineer III at STV since May 2012, Joe has also held various roles, including Research Assistant and ITS Infrastructure Engineer Intern at the University of Iowa from January 2010 to May 2012, and a Rail Engineer Intern at Canadian National Railroad in the summer of 2011. Joe began his engineering career as a Civil Engineer Intern with the Village of Palatine from May 2008 to August 2009. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Project Management from Northwestern University (2015-2018) and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Civil Engineering from the University of Iowa.
