Kyle Knapp

Kyle Knapp is a skilled professional with extensive experience in corrosion engineering and commercial management. Currently serving as a Commercial Specialist at STV since June 2017, Kyle administers commercial matters for the Westside Purple Line Extensions, focusing on risk management, cost forecasting, and change order documentation. Previous roles include Corrosion Control Engineer for both Sections 2 and 3 of the same project, where responsibilities involved cathodic protection design and integration during construction. Prior to STV, Kyle worked as a Corrosion Engineer at Corrpro Companies, Inc., managing field surveys and complex cathodic protection systems. Additional experience includes serving as a Ship Engineer on the Motor Yacht Leight Star, an Engineering Continuous Improvement Intern at United Technologies Aerospace Systems, and working as a freelance electrician. Kyle holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Business Management from San Diego State University.
